Infill Moratorium

By Shenna J. Moqeet

Candidate for Council Member; City of Calimesa

This information is provided by the candidate
We need to know the true impacts of all traffic before allowing infill to proceed.
We passed an Infill Moratorium because the traffic study used to approve current infill projects was no longer valid. It was based on projected data done at the time the original General Plan was adopted. Much has changed. We are seriously impacted by unforseen traffic from Yucaipa. Plus this original study based traffic flows on the ultimate widening of our main residential streets to four lane roads. This is not what the citizens want in our community. To adequately address new traffic from new development without four lane roads,we needed a new traffic study, thus the moratorium. This moratorium is necessary until we complete the traffic study that we just approved.
