County Line Road

By Shenna J. Moqeet

Candidate for Council Member; City of Calimesa

This information is provided by the candidate
We need an agreement in place with Yucaipa to address traffic impacts on County Line Road.
The Council recently sent a letter to the Yucaipa City Council asking what Yucaipa plans for County Line Road are, and the time schedule to construct necessary changes. Yucaipa has built several developments on this side of the wash, dumping more traffic flow onto County Line. A recent 200+ unit condominium project was approved and has begun grading between Third and Fourth Street. We need Yucaipa to begin reconstructing, widening, and correcting the curves on its side of County Line now. Their position has been that they will wait for us to have funds to do our side. We cannot wait. The impacts of development they have completed as well as just starting will create worse traffic problems on the road. We need it corrected now. There is no reason for them to wait for us. One of the worst sections of the road is completely within Yucaipa's jurisdiction. I have been instrumental in getting the letter sent to Yucaipa. I don't want to see that the letter falls to the wayside and nothing gets done. We need action now.
