Road to New School

By Shenna J. Moqeet

Candidate for Council Member; City of Calimesa

This information is provided by the candidate
Safety for all is the number one concern.
We have a serious issue of a school that is almost complete but no road built to it. The City has filed a lawsuit against the School District over concerns of traffic safety and mitigation issues, plus other concerns. The safety of Calimesa residents as well as those attending the school are equally important. There is no simple solution. What is required is a cooperative agreement that adequately addresses and mitigates the impacts of traffic on County Line Road, its interchange and all the roads leading to the school. If I was against the opening of the school, I would not have personally met with Mr. Larry Grable, The Governor's legislative aide in our area, to try and find a workable solution to this difficult problem.
