Marcia is a mother of three children and has 7 mimikins.

A Southern California native, she was born and grew up in San Diego. She grew up using the bay and beaches in San Diego and understands the importance of a healthy marine environment and water quality.

She moved to Newport Beach in 1989, and settled on the peninsula in 1990. She soon became active in the local politics, especially health and safety issues for the citizens and continues to address these issues.
