Political Philosophy for Marcia M. "Marcia Marcia Marcia" Dossey
Candidate for |
The health and safety of our citizens it utmost on Marcia's agenda. Stopping growth of John Wayne Airport is of high importance to Marcia as well as seeking and implementing studies to identify pollution fallout effects on our citizens and their property. The citizens of Newport Beach expect a high level of efficient service from their city employees and the current City Hall no longer meets functionality, efficiency or easy access to meet those needs. A site that is centrally located, sufficiently parked and will be technologically functional and efficient should be selected that will match the needed criteria. The health and safety of the citizens remains of high importance to Marcia. The Newport Beach Police Department has been losing officers to other county departments and we must retain these valuable assets. The Police Department headquarters building is slated for replacement and is the disaster command center. We have the opportunity to have a new building that will combine headquarters for the police, fire and lifeguard departments into one multitasking efficient building and continue as an improved disaster command center. Current codes limit city authority over Rehabilitation or Recovery homes. Continued monitoring and code enforcement by the city must continue as we work with the State and Federal governments to stop abuses in our neighborhoods. |
