Secure Ukiah's WaterBy Phil BaldwinCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Ukiah | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Let's make sure the flow in Orr, Gibson, and Doolin creeks is sufficient for recharge of Ukiah's groundwater supply as well for restoration of the fish habitat. We must also vigilantly defend our water rights with the State and against threatened Ukiah valley incursions. Equally critical is preventing the use of City of Ukiah water for sprawl onto prime agricultural land. Failure on any of these fronts could mean severe summer rationing for the citizens of Ukiah within a decade. |
