Protecting Water QualityBy Andy KatzCandidate for Director; East Bay Municipal Utility District; Ward 4 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Protecting Water QualityEven though district customers enjoy water quality that is among the best in the state, EBMUD should fully disclose its low contaminant levels as a model for the rest of the state and lobby for state laws improving water quality, such as AB 1953 (Chan), which would ban lead pipes. EBMUD can also acquire additional property to expand the buffer zones that protect urban runoff from polluting our water. See: http://www.ebmud.com/water_&_environment/water_quality/ |
