FAMILY BACKGROUND:

Born in San Jose January 3, 1946 the oldest son of a thrid generation family in Santa Clara Valley.

Father, Ralph G, graduated from Santa Clara University in 1929 and served as a project and plant enginner for major Silicon Valley Industries for 50 years.

Mother, Bernice C. (Huston) graduated from San Jose State Teachers college in education in 1928 and taught throughout the Depression on the Penninsula until marrying my father as a 'war bride' in 1941.

Two brothers: Michael B. (married with residece in Nagle Park), and Daniel B (Disabled from birth).

HIGHER EDUCATION:

BA in Economics with 30 unit minor in Busiess in 1971 from San Jose State University. Student Leader on campus, founder of Student Tenant Union, co-auther of student campus constitution, organized and facilitad 'All College student/ faculty' governing process still in use in accordance with stipulations outlined in Tom Hayden's Port Huron Statement of 1962.

BA in History from San Jose State University in 1980.

MA in Social Science (with Concentration in Socio-Economics) from San Jose State in 1985. Authority on the Industrial Revolution. Candidate for City Council in 1982, and co-founder of Corp. for Shared Responsibility (an educational outreach tax free non-profit) in 1984.

MA in U.S. History with 200 page Thesis on 'Movement Poltics in the Bay Area in the 1960s' (available in Martin Luther King Library) from San Jose State University in 1997. Candidate for State Assembly on Green Ticket in 1994, co-chair of Green Party State Platform in 1993, and co-chair of State-wide Campaigns Working Group from 1995-97. Commissioner of CIty of San Jose Disablity Advisory Commission from 1993-97 (Vice Chair in 1997)

Conditional Candidate for Interdisciplinary Masters in Behavior Sciences beginning in 2006. Candidate for Mayor.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: + Graduate from Los Gatos Union High in 1963.

+ ROTC Cadet from 1963-67.

+ Pioneered first ascents in Yosemite Valley rock climbing (1965-69).

+ Outspoken campus Anti-war critic and civil rights activist 1968-70 (electing Harry Edwards brother to campus Student Body President in 1969).

+ Student of Joan Baez's Institute for the Study of Non-Violence in Palo ALto the summer of 1970.

+ Part Time Instructor of Mountaineering, San Jose State University, 1978-80.

+ Budget Analyst for Allstate Equity Investments, a regional Mortgage Broker of San Jose (since dissolved)in 1980.

+ Santa Clara County bureacrat for Summer Employment of Youth (SPEDY Program) under the U.S. Department of Labour 1981.

+ HIked a major part of the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains alone at 40 in 1985.

+ Joined the Fellowship of Reconciliation in 1990.

+ Co-founded and directed I-SOR (The Insitute for Social Organizational Research) a Social Science WEB based Clearing House (1992-2004)

+ Under Contract with New York Litterary Agent, Barbara Bauer of Matawan, New Jersey, from 1994 to present, producing almost a dozen non-fiction manuscripts for publication - all still unpublished - except for a book of 100 poems...abailable on the WEB.

Successfully fought to keep the City of San Jose's "Group Home Ordance" from removing the disabled from their long establihsd homes downtown 1996-97.

+ Successfully fought to save Yosemite Valley from becoming an exclusive, luxary class resort thru redevelopment in 1998.

+ California Delegate to Green Party National Convention in Denver in 2000.

+ California Delegate to Green Party National Convention in Milwaukee in 2004.

+ County Chair and grass roots Organizer for Mono County Green Party 2000-2004. Board Member and Chair of Mono County Mental Health Advisory Board, reviving and reorganizing same.

+ Reporter and Politcal Correspondent for Mono County Review Hearld 1997-98.

+ Instructor, Cerro Coso Community College (Social Science subjects) 1998-2000.

+ Real Estate Investor, 1999-2004.

+ Instructor, Columbia Community College (Economic Principles) 2004.
