Local Citizen's textbk evaluation committee of Language Arts and Social Studies AAUW State Division: Executive Council, Education Rep; Project Director for statewide textbook evaluation (isms); PEER, project on equal education rights AAUW Rep and founding member of Calif. Coalition for fair school finance now EDSOURCE Rep to Global Education study Ladera Community Church Preschool, treasurer South San Mateo county LWV, chair of local Ed study group, re local school finance Other local activities In 90's (?) Ed Director state LWV, 30 minutes of fame on tape vs. vouchers on a state wide ballot as CA LWV - State Education director Sequoia Dist before election to the board: budget committee chair; DCC (District Coordinating committee Coach for girl's softball and soccer teams In 1980's Educational Congress of California (ECC), Member then VP, President and newsletter editor Global Education Inc., V P for global education projects 1990 Institute for Effective School leadership Editor of the Research report + abstracts of educational articles in a 16-18 page newsletter--went to over 70 districts Exec Director, President for about 6-8 months (Closed it down) Volunteer in the Stanford Health Library for 5 Years in the Hospital Health Library in the 1990's Sequoia Awards - Board of Directors, awards to citizen, business and students for volunteer work in the Redwood City community Adolescent Counseling Services + past treasurer, past board member Other SDS Consultants +education Fly fishing, oil painting and photography Raise money for number of organizations SOL Steward (sol, society for organizational learning) Belmont Community Church (UCC) vice moderator and moderator (2 years each) Trustee for Wassaw Island Trust + family owned island 2 Earth Watch trips (Contribute to long term science investigation) Tonga re giant clams |
