I worked in ESUSD as a teacher and administrator for 38 years, retiring as superintendent in 2001. My wife Carol and I have lived in El Segundo since 1972. Our two children graduated from ESHS and two of our grandchildren attend El Segundo schools. I have a doctorate in education from Pepperdine University. I serve on the El Segundo Educational Foundation Board where I chair the Community Giving Committee, which includes the Superintendent's Roundtable. I also serve on the Independent Citizens' Oversight Committee for Bond Measure E. El Segundo public schools have been a major part of our family's life for 42 years.
