Adolescents are very open to external pressures and strong influences such as military recruiters. As a school district we need to work to ensure that any military recruitment is balanced with an equal amount of alternate recruitment experiences. If we are committed to the funds provided by the No Child Left Behind Act, then we need to continue to refine and evaluate the "Opt Out" procedure so that students and parents understand their school environment and the options available to them. |
