Political Philosophy for Dorothy "Nesbitt" Nesbitt
Candidate for |
Growth is inevitable and managing it has become a challenge in El Dorado Hills. Cityhood offers an opportunity to protect our quality of life while the area continues to expand. I am not interested in wielding power or having my name on a plaque. I am an independent thinker, dedicated to principles, not politics, and I believe my experience is unique to the situation and, therefore, valuable in planning the future of our city. Some quotes from others I have worked with: "Honest and forthright with a commendable track record of setting and implementing policy.....a proven leader." Deborah Acosta McKeehan, former City Mgr., Pleasanton, CA "Dorothy's understanding of government and the business community was a great asset when developing cooperative regional projects." Linda Jeffery Sailors, former Mayor, Dublin, CA "an excellent grasp of the economics and policies that create liveable communities" Zarka Popovic, City Administrator, Williams, CA "It was a pleasure to have Dorothy on a joint committee because it meant honest, straightforward and reasonable negotiation." Georgean Vonheeder, former Director, Dublin San Ramon Services District "passionate about community empowerment, Dorothy is guided by reason and objectivity, not a political agenda." Deborah Acosta McKeehan, former City Mgr., Pleasanton, CA "A practical visionary who culls consensus into real action plans," Zarka Popovic, City Administrator, Williams, CA |
