Grossmont-Cuyamaca College has been severely underfunded in the past by the State as compared to other community colleges.The District, through the great efforts of The Board of Trustees, Chancellor Suarez, his administrative staff, and the faculty, staff and students of the two colleges, has been successful in increasing its "state" funding this past year. However, only 1/3 of the appropriate formula has been implemented. The Governor has indicated that he will increase this funding by 1/3 over each of the next two years. We must do everything we can to ensure that these increases occur. |
