While the Milpitas election came to its crescendo, there is one candidate who came out of the woodworks and now favored by the majority of Milpitas residents and endorsed by many ethnic population of this city. Victor Nejal is no stranger to this city. Although an immigrant to this country like his predecessor, Vic as he is called by his friends knows the problems and issues plaguing Milpitas which forced him to run for mayor of this city. Although a write-in candidate as mayor of Milpitas, this does not prevent him from running for the highest post in the city he loves. Family Background Son of USAFFE veteran, Victoriano D. Nejal who fought World War II at the Pacific, Victor's father is one of the heroes who defended Bataan to prevent Japanese Imperial Expeditionary Armed Forces on their timetable to capture Australia. He was captured, suffered and survived the "Death March" for protecting America and democracy. Victoriano D. Nejal is happily married to Alejandra V. Nejal for 62 years to date, with nine children who helped each other to pursue college education. Victor is the fourth child. Victor is married to a home loving, caring and supportive wife, Marilord Datu Javier for 19 years and blessed with four loving and inspiring children. Marvin, the eldest is now 18 years of age, Victor 16, Brandon 6, and Victoria Alexandra 4. Victor is a street survivor who started earning a living at a young age of 13, and paid his way thru college as a working student. Immigrated to United States in 1987 and moved to Milpitas from Los Angeles in 1988. One of his first business ventures in the U.S. was the Pacific Investment Mortgage Corporation with offices in Milpitas in 1989 to 1995, and the "Pacific Auto Sales Dealership" along Dempsey Road in 1992 to 1995. He bought his first house at Hemlock Lane in 1989, moved in to 202 Beacon Drive in 1991, and acquired a townhouse property at Lyn Avenue sometime in the year 2000.
