I have been fortunate to make Goleta my home for over thirty-five years. I first moved here to attend the University of California at Santa Barbara, where I obtained a B.A. in English and political science. I later earned a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
I am a retired research attorney and former small business owner and have extensive experience in real estate management.
I have served as chair of the Goleta Old Town Project Area Committee, as Santa Barbara County Third District Park Commissioner, and as chair of the Citizens Planning Association Land Use Committee.
As a co-founder of GoletaNow! I worked hard for cityhood, and in 2001 I was elected to Goleta's first city council.
In 2001 I was also honored as Goleta Woman of the Year.
