The Social Security Trust Fund was the most comprehensive Consumer based piece of legislation ever to come out of Washington. Ordinary citizens quality of life is affected.President Franklin Delano Roosevelt set up the Social Security Trust fund in 1935 to address rampant poverty throughout America, at a time when financial ruin was a National embarrassment. The Twenty First Century precents new challenges that cannot be shrugged away. The program has been extremely successful in accomplishing what it set out to do, Senior Citizens, many who have worked at low wage jobs and have no other source of income are relegated to live out their lives utilizing the monetary support provided by Social Security. We are faced with shifting end dates for the depletion of the Social Security Trust Fund primarily because Congress can't keep its hands out of the reserve even after it voted six times to keep it free of encumbrances during the previous administration. How farcical could it be then to appropriate a give away of one point six trillion dollars, the most of which would be allocated to richest Americans, (the top one percent $373,000 and above)whose portfolio's demonstrated no sense of urgency and completely eliminate the hard earned surplus overnight. The Sanders campaign further, would not be in support of subjecting any portion of the Social Security Trust Fund to the pearls of the Stock market to repeat the fiasco many Enron employees were forced to endure when their investments plummeted with no viable escape features in place, and traumatized financial markets around the world. The stock market is only recommended for licensed savvy investors who know their way around and can afford to take a lost every now and then. My preliminary analysis is intended to provide you with a glimpse of contemporary Washington and the obvious need for progressive paradigm change. New thinking is begging to offer alternative solutions, free from the influence of those dreaded special interest that seem to always get their way. The decision is in your hands, do we need more of the same? 'I hope you said no', my new office next January will be driven by your hopes, dreams and aspirations for the future. Its our turn, you know my background and staunch determination, friends, let us do what we must and vote for a champion of prosperity in November. Please, let our commonalities forge a new Coalition as you vote for Charles Sanders this November.
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA
