Access to HealthcareBy Glen Grayman, M.D.Candidate for Director; Desert Health Care District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
QUESTION: The 2002 Riverside County Needs Assessment identified better access to health care as a top priority for the Coachella Valley. How can Desert Regional Medical Center continue to serve the valley's growing population? It is important to recognize that, within the boundaries of Desert Healthcare District, two excellent hospitals serve the needs of our residents--Desert Regional Medical Center and Eisenhower Medical Center. As the Valley has grown, so have the facilities and strengths of both fine institutions. There is every reason to believe that both hospitals have the desire and wherewithal to continue this expansion well into the future. |
