Current management problemsBy Elizabeth Scott DonnellyCandidate for Auditor; County of Riverside | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Recent audit of the auditors office revealed lack of employee morale and poor management procedures.Because of the many costly errors that had been made by the auditor's office in the last three years the County Supervisors commissioned an independent audit of the office. The Desert Sun reported that the auditors "found Frustration and confusion, lack of trust, hostile perception and interaction" within the department of the Auditor/Controller. My many years of experience in personnel management has led to the development of team building and goal setting that welcomes input from staff. In-house training enhances the team concept and assures that every employee has the same opportunity for advancement. Setting clear goals and objectives for the department serves to focus efforts on success. These management techniques will be implemented as soon as I take office and will go a long way toward solving the problems that have plagued this office. |
