Experience that Counts

Twenty-five year veteran prosecutor Wallace Wade has successfully prosecuted cases of murder, bribery, rape, child molestation, domestic violence, robbery, burglary, perjury, fraud, and criminal conspiracy. As Director of the Special Operations Division, he led the fight against political corruption, voter fraud, elder abuse and domestic violence. He is a member of the faculty at U.C. Irvine where he teaches Prosecution Policy and Ethics. His program for training young lawyers in trial techniques won the American Bar Association Award for Service to the Bar.

Respected Leader

Wallace Wade has been elected by his fellow prosecutors county-wide as President of the Association of Orange County Deputy D.A.s and state-wide to the Board Directors, California D.A.'s Association. He served as a member of the Department of Justice's Organized Crime and Racketeering Strike Force. The prestigious National College of District Attorneys in Columbia, South Carolina selected Wally Wade as a faculty team leader to train young prosecutors. He has been honored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation as their Attorney of the Year.

Professionalism and Service to Others

Giving back to his community, especially its youth, is important to Wally Wade. He worked his way through law school as a high school teacher, coaching football and soccer. He has served over the past two decades as coach for youth soccer, bobby sox softball, and high school mock trial teams. He is a current member of the faculty at U.C. Irvine

Wally Wade's dedication to improving integrity and professionalism in the legal profession is demonstrated by his service on the ethics committee of the Orange County Bar Association, and on the board of Directors of the St. Thomas More Law Society. His program for training young lawyers in trial techniques has won the American Bar Association Award for Service to the Bar.

Wallace Wade's Vision for Orange County

"Law enforcement professionals should be judged by how well they protect the innocent and most vulnerable members of our community. As your district attorney, I will expand the Elder Abuse program to protect senior citizens and create a task force to improve tracking of child abuse reports. The anti-gang programs we began in the early 1990s must be strengthened. Aggressive prosecution of domestic violence will be a top-priority. Political corruption will not be tolerated. I will seek the same justice for a struggling immigrant worker as for the wealthiest, best-connected citizen. Orange County deserves no less." --Wally Wade
