Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator; County of El Dorado

As Undersheriff, I currently manage the daily operations of the Sheriff's Office. This includes: $33 million budget, Five Divisions, 370 employees and 300 volunteers.

I am a twenty-two year veteran of the Sheriff's Office and have worked seven of those years at our Tahoe office. During my career, I have worked all aspects of the department; jail, patrol, detectives, training officer, narcotics, SWAT team member/supervisor, sergeant, lieutenant and captain. I have been promoted by three different Sheriff's, Sheriff Dick Pacileo, Sheriff Don McDonald and Sheriff Hal Barker. Additionally, I have been twice honored as Officer of the Year (1983 & 1994).

My wife Sandy and I have been married for 27 years. We have three children. Our oldest son is a senior at Cal Poly; our daughter is attending U.C. Davis and our youngest son is in the 5th grade.

I am the only candidate for sheriff with the experience, education and qualifications necessary to be a successful Sheriff.
