This information is provided by the candidate |
Expand educational services to our schools and districts. We must expand funding for early childhood and adult education as well as create alternative career training programs in partnership with business and unions. We need to expand professional development services for teachers, principals and other education workers. I will work with Superintendent Sheila Jordan to expand newly launched programs to serve under-performing schools, train a new generation of math and science teachers and work to recruit qualified school site administrators. Students in our county schools need to receive special education services, opportunities for job training,m and a path to higher education. The Alameda County Office of Education can bring together communities of interested participants and forge region-wide solutions for the educational needs of our students. |
