Neighborhood PreservationBy Marc C. TegliaCandidate for Councilmember; City of South San Francisco | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Our residential neighborhoods are the backbone of our community!Neighborhood Preservation... Our residential neighborhoods are the backbone of our community! I am committed to the development of programs for the rehabilitation of older housing. Since there is little space left to build new neighborhoods, we must be sensitive to what our existing systems can support. I am opposed to a 'shoe horn' approach to new development. I am opposed to unreasonable efforts to force low-cost segregated housing which traps participants into rent-control-type resale restrictions. I am opposed to future extension of public works capacities, such as sewer service, outside our city limits until the needs of all areas of our own city are assured. |
