INNOVATIVE....EFFECTIVE...INVOLVED...

t is important not only to serve people but to love them and care for their welfare while serving. People do not want a handout; they just want a fair chance. I always work to give them that chance.

As an experienced, knowledgeable and hard-working incumbent, I have a record of successfully fighting for many issues that benefit our students and employees. I understand and support the needs of all employees and strongly advocate equal chance and treatment of ALL.

The constituency must be served at its best. I managed to maintain accountability for your concerns and sound fiscal management. Just three years ago as a new Trustee, I was instrumental in supporting a "salary adjustment formula" that aims to raise the employee salaries closer to the state median. It benefits many.

As an active resident of Monterey Peninsula since 1974, I have always recognized the important obligation and duty that I have to you and the community in return for your continuing support. In my lengthy public service to you, I have never let YOU down and have worked very hard to fulfill the mutual goals I promised to you. I have kept my word: Many of those goals have been successfully completed. I am proud that my work on expanding the community involvement and participation has produced solid results. Today, we have a strong and fine MPC Foundation! The MPC Academic Senate, MPC Students Association and the MPCSEA have all become involved, active and effective participants..

You have always been very kind to me, and I would like to continue serving you. I look forward to continue working on the issues still challenging our education system. Please give me a chance again. And, once again, I thank you for your vote.
