Objective

Lead EID back to its basic mission of providing quality, reliable, and economical water and wastewater service to all, under all circumstances.

Employment

  • Water Resources Engineer: 1992-1998 EL DORADO COUNTY WATER AGENCY Placerville, California

County-wide water needs assessments, strategic planning and reports, assistance to water purveyors.

  • Vice President/Principal Civil Engineer 1989-1992 OPA ENGINEERING, Sacramento, California

As Principal Engineer, was in responsible charge of all professional engineering design and consulting services of private engineering/surveying firm. Initiated and coordinated systems upgrades, including conversion from hand drafting to Computer Aided Design (CAD).

  • Senior Engineer 1984-1989 EL DORADO IRRIGATION DISTRICT, Placerville, California

Principle deputy to the Engineering Director, Mr. Converse had responsibilities for assuring that water and wastewater facilities serving an area of more than 200 square miles in western El Dorado County kept pace with rapid growth.

Mr. Converse served as Superintendent of the largest irrigation company in Colorado, serving 95,000 acres and supplying approximately 250,000 acre feet of irrigation water annually.

Mr. Converse served as Manager and as the sole staff engineer for the District, responsible for the collecting, transmission, storing and distribution of both irrigation and potable water to the Lewiston Orchards area of the City of Lewiston, Idaho.

Mr. Converse was manager of a regional wastewater system serving eight communities in northern Idaho, responsible for two wastewater treatment plants (15 MGD and 1 MGD), as well as a variety of lift stations and interceptor and collection sewer systems.
