EDDIE ROSE served on the Laguna Niguel City Council from 1994 to 1998. He was active in the fight to achieve cityhood for Laguna Niguel, and was chiefly responsible for bringing the annual Menorah lighting ceremony in commemoration of Chanukah to Laguna Niguel. While on the City Council, Eddie consistently opposed special interest projects that would adversely impact the quality of life of Laguna Niguel residents. In four years on the City Council, Eddie had a 100% attendance record!

EDDIE ROSE is a long-time member of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA) and is a staunch taxpayers' rights, seniors' rights, and victims' rights advocate. Eddie has also been a strong supporter of campaign finance reform and has led the fight in Laguna Niguel and Orange County to expose government waste and political corruption. Following the Orange County bankruptcy debacle, Eddie joined with numerous concerned citizens to help defeat the ill-advised 1/2 cent sales tax proposal (Measure R), as well as the equally ill-advised proposed county charter (Measure T). In 1996, Eddie wrote the ballot argument in support of term limits, a county-wide measure which passed overwhelmingly. Eddie was also an early and active supporter of Proposition 187 (to deny welfare benefits to illegal aliens) and Proposition 209 (to eliminate reverse discrimination and racial quotas).

EDDIE ROSE is also a member of the Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and is a strong believer in the need for the preservation of open space, natural habitats, and wetlands areas. Eddie has also worked with various groups and individuals throughout Orange County to stop the proposed commercial airport at El Toro, and is firmly committed to halt the proliferation of urban sprawl presently taking place in southern Orange County and northern San Diego County.

EDDIE ROSE is a registered Professional Quality Engineer in the State of California and holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Administration from Pepperdine Univerity. Eddie has been a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) for over 20 years, and served in the aerospace industry as a Quality and Reliability Engineer/Manager for McDonnell Douglas, Hughes Aircraft, and Ford Aerospace/Loral. He holds a teaching credential in the California Community Colleges system.

For hobbies, Eddie enjoys golf, tennis, softball, bicycle riding, and duplicate bridge. Eddie is a Gold Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), having amassed over 3800 master points, and is recognized as one of the outstanding bridge players in the country. He has also taught bridge classes throughout Orange County for nearly 20 years.

EDDIE ROSE believes that integrity in government means "doing the right thing for the right reasons". He prides himself on representing the people---not the special interests.
