Michele Nash-Hoff, with over 20 years of experience in San Diego's high-tech industry, has the strong business background needed to represent San Diego in the state legislature. Her high-tech career includes being part of the founding team of an electronic component manufacturer and working in the Marketing Department of Cubic's Military Systems Division. She took a hiatus from the high-tech industry for several years, during which time she was a preschool teacher and a substitute teacher at a private elementary school in Del Mar. Later, she served as Vice President of a sales agency covering 11 of the western states.

In 1985, Michele formed her own sales Agency, ElectroFab Sales, which works with companies to help them select the right manufacturing processes for their new and existing products. In 1998, she also served as Manager of the San Diego Enterprise Center, a new business incubator for start-up companies.

She is immediate Past President of the Navajo Republican Women Federated, a board member of the San Diego Republican Businesswomen, and a member of the San Diego City College Citizen's Advisory Council. Michele was a candidate for San Diego City Council,District 7,in 1996, and was elected to the San Diego County Republican Central Committee in 1998.

In the past, Michele was President of the San Diego Electronics Network, the San Diego Chapter of the Electronics Representatives Association, and The High Technology Foundation. In 1992-93, she brought together a coalition of 18 organizations, called the High Technology Council, to plan and produce the first High Technology Summit at the San Diego Convention Center. The purpose of this summit, held in March 1993, was to ensure that elected officials and business leaders were aware of the importance of high technology to the economy of San Diego and to address specific ways to improve the business climate at local and state levels.

Michele graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in French and Spanish. She has a certificate in Total Quality Management and is a 1994 graduate of San Diego's leadership program (LEAD San Diego.) Michele has been an active volunteer for various community organizations over the years. She participated in a volunteer program to teach Spanish three times a week in grades K-3 at Marvin Elementary School. Also, she tutored children in K-3 in reading and language arts and participated in planning and producing the first all-day multicultural fair at a San Diego school. She taught swimming to children and adults for the Allied Gardens/Del Cerro Red Cross Backyard Swim program for seven years.

Michele is married to Michael Hoff, Vice President of ElectroFab Sales. She has raised two sons and two daughters during her more than 30-year residency in the community and has two grandchildren.
