Thoughts regarding responsibility and rights of individuals in a free society.
I deplore the existing, continuing, and increasing violations of Article II of the Bill of Rights by democrat and republican politicians. Many in government favor further restrictions and infringement upon the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. This right is essential to our responsibility to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our property. Our Nation's founding fathers knew that a well armed citizenry is the best prevention against tyrannical government. No tyranny, whether by criminals or by abusive government can be completely imposed upon an armed populace. The American right to keep and bear arms is a God-given, inalienable right (not a privilege), fully protected by the Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America (part of our "Bill of Rights"). As a United states Congressman I would work to repeal the many infringements upon our essential natural right to keep and bear arms that have been legislated in violation of the United States Constitution.
