-I believe in the rights of the individual as stated in the declaration of independence and the constituion of the nation. That it is the individual who is soverign and the only legitimate function of government is to protect those rights.
-I believe in the separation of school and state. Government controlled schools means the fate of children is decided by the government and whoever influences it. Gray Davis has already admitted in the state of the state message that the schools in California are mediocre. He is being generous. Children, our future citizens are much too important to be left in the hands of the state.
-I believe in the right of self determination. For people to decide for themselves what government that they should live under. Citizens should not have to jump thru hoops or beg the powers that be to do that as the valley secession movement and the school district is doing now.
-I believe that individuals own themselves and have a right to freely and voluntarily associate in what ways they perceive is in their own best interests. It is not the function of the state to interfere in economic and personal actions as long as those actions do not involve force, violence or fraud to other people.
