Three reasons; 1.Continue development of State Standards;2 Upgrading buildings; 3. School to Career
I am running for the CUSD Board with the desire to continue in the evolution of the curriculum standards that have been developed by the state but must be interpreted by the teachers. The school district must continue to implement these standards and I feel that I can assist in this area. The second reason for my desire to serve on the Board is to assist in the process of upgrading the school facilities. I feel I can be of assistance to the Superintendent in facilitating the desires of the board and the school personnel. Reason three is to support and participate in the newly developed "School to Career" component in the Cloverdale High School. This is an exciting track for all students but can be especially valuable for the non-college-bound student. All students need to have a goal for the future and through this program many students who are undecided about their future can sample the business world and select a direction that will gain access to a successful career.
