Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Kelli M. Moors

Candidate for
Board Member; Carlsbad Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

Public education is an American tradition and is repsonsible for our strength as a country. Free, quality education offered to all is what defined America at its beginning and is what defines us today.

My strong belief in that system has led me to work for our schools in Carlsbad, helping them be the best they possibly can. Our schools have achieved much success, but are faced with the challenges of increased student population, uncertain funding, evolving academic standards, and physical limitations of school sites.

The citizens and business community have joined forces with Carlsbad's parents and students to meet these needs. Their success is evident in our high achievement levels, nationally-recognized schools and programs, and campus remodeling and expansions.

I am ready to combine my belief in our students with my fresh, firsthand view from inside the classrooms to provide vision and leadership to make our schools stronger.
