Dave Allan has dedicated his career to the Fire Service. For the past 17 years he has worked for the San Miguel Fire District; previous to that, he was with the US Federal Fire Service, and served in the US Army, 8th Division, 101st Airborne, for 6 years.

Dave has served as President of the San Miguel Firefighters; proud member of the California Professional Firefighters; attended League of Cities Conferences; has worked with local, state and federal elected officials to solve local problems; currently serves as Director of Legislative Affairs for the San Miguel Firefighters; and is also a Deputy Director for the California State Firefighters Association. Dave also is a Board Member of the East County YMCA. While his children were growing up, he coached Little League teams and served on the Little League Board for 9 years.

Dave is married, has 4 children, has lived in San Diego for 17 years, and attends College Avenue Baptist Church.
