I am married and have two children and four grandchildren. My family has lived in Laguna Niguel since 1974.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California State University at Long Beach in 1966 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California Los Angeles in 1970. I became registered as a professional civil engineer in California in 1970. My career since 1971 has been as a municipal finance consultant and investment banker.

In 1985 I established an investment banking and municipal finance consulting firm based in Laguna Niguel. Several years ago I sold my interest in my firm and have since committed much of my time to community and charitable activities.

I serve on the following Boards and Committees:

Board of Directors of the Urban Water Institute;

Board of Managers of South Coast YMCA;

Citizens Advisory Council of the Moulton Niguel Water District;

Executive Committee of Clear the Air/No Jets;

Advisory Board of Taxpayers for Responsible Planning;

Finance Committee of Citizens for Safe and Healthy Communities, the Yes on F Committee;

Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Laguna Niguel;

Board of Directors of the Niguel Botanical Preserve;

City of Laguna Niguel Parade Committee; and

Board of Directors of Concept 7 Family Support and Treatment Centers.

I am a member of the Sierra Club, South Coast YMCA, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association and Government Finance Officers Association.

My hobbies include hiking, back packing, German language studies and travel.

My most significant recent achievements have been participating in the fund development campaign for Yes on F and coordinating the efforts of over 300 volunteers in the City of Laguna Niguel who worked on the YES on F campaign.

In recognition of my community involvement and efforts to stop the airport, I am honored to have been selected as Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year.
