My wife, son, daughter and I moved to Laguna Niguel in 1974.

Laguna Niguel is a clean, quiet and safe community to live and raise a family.

I want to keep it that way.

The major issue concerning the City is the proposed airport at El Toro.

I am opposed to the airport. What distinguishes me from others who express opposition to the airport is that I have translated my sentiment into action.

I have represented my homeowners association as a delegate to Clear the Air/No Jets. I also serve on the Executive Committee of Clear the Air/No Jets.

I serve on the Advisory Board of TRP. Taxpayers for Responsible Planning has been the leading organization opposed to development of an airport at El Toro.

I served as the Laguna Niguel Leader of the Measure F campaign to stop the El Toro Airport. I coordinated all of the volunteers in Laguna Niguel who collected signatures on petitions, requested contributions for the campaign and worked to get out the Yes on F vote.

In recognition of my efforts, I am honored to have been selected Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year.

Having lived in Laguna Niguel for 26 years and been involved as a volunteer with Little League, AYSO, YMCA and Indian Guides has given me the perspective to recognize that as honest, caring citizens, we can work together to benefit our city by:

Keeping everyone informed, motivated and actively working for non-aviation reuse of El Toro;

Preserving our community's excellent public safety record;

Continuing to fund and improve gang/graffiti suppression efforts;

Resolving the Aliso Creek run-off water pollution problem in the safest, most cost-efficient manner to keep our local beaches enjoyable year-round;

Providing safe, healthy, fun activities for our youth;

Maintaining a cooperative and constructive relationship with our schools.

I want to continue my service to the community as a member of the City Council.
