Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Los Alamitos Unified School District

As a 32 year resident of California, I have had 4 children go through the public school system; then go on to college and graduate schools. Being a member on a School Board for 4 years has given me insight on how a School District works and how to make it work better.

My degrees in Electrical Engineering and Law have shown me the value of a good primary and secondary education, and how it has enabled me to compete. Having worked as an engineer, technical marketing manager and contracts manager, I know what it takes to succeed in the working world of today.

In retirement, I have continued my education by taking courses in Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Information Technology. These classes have brought me into contact with recent high school graduates. This has given me an opportunity to observe some of their deficiencies.

I believe in service to my community and I am dedicated to improving the education of our children and grandchildren. My election to the School Board assures you that your children will receive the best education possible.
