Fiscal Vision ---- This year the City of Placentia dipped into its contingency fund $750,000 to balance the budget and will be short a similar figure next year. City revenues are stable but costs are increasing. Balancing the budget is not an option but rather an absolute imperative. Planning Vision ---- Placentia is built-out and in need of sales tax revenue. The original charter of the city has been realized and it is now time to investigate a new vision to bring long-term financial health to this city. It should be the mission of this city to investigate every opportunity to improve the image of this city. Community Vision ---- Too often the voice of the few outweigh the needs and desires of the many. They City Council should be aware of the opinion and will of a greater number of people. The technology exists to make the council more responsible. |
