I was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and moved with my family to California when I was 10. I attended Harvard High School in the San Fernando Valley on a scholarship. I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley and majored in Comparative Literature (German, Latin and English languages).

My first job out of college was in Southern California, and 2 years after graduating I purchased my first home in Placentia in 1988. I obtained my MBA at Cal State Fullerton while I worked in downtown Los Angeles in bank marketing and private banking. In 1996 I started my first real estate company. I currently own a real estate company with 2 branches and a mortgage company.

I have been married 10 years to my wife Deanna and we have 2 children, Lauren 10 years old, and Garrett, 5 years old. My wife is a Vice Principal in the public school system and is inthe process of obtaining her docterate in education.
