Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Alameda Unified School District

I have been an active parent involved with public education at the site and District level for the past 12 years. My son recently graduated from Encinal and my two daughters are currently attending Encinal High School. By having children currently enrolled in the schools, I am in touch with the efforts to improve our schools.

Beyond my direct participation in public education, I have a degree in Accounting. In this era of tight fiscal resources, Alameda needs Board members who understand financial statements and can ensure our resources are being used effectively.
