District Representation

By Phillip R. "Phil" Claiborne

Candidate for Council; District 15

This information is provided by the candidate
People are reaching a point of frustration in feeling that their voice is not being heard.
District wide, the greatest problem of the 15 district is that people say they have not had a representative that has been both accessible and responsive to them and their concerns. There is a pressing need for an effective flow of information to and from those I will represent. Regular community meetings by precinct, involvement with Neighborhood Watch organizations and the internet are just three ways of doing that. As a district representative I do not have to have all the answers. I must simply be willing to listen to the concerns that people have and use my time and abilities to search for answers if they can be found. My mission as the 15th district councilman will be to make a positive difference during my tenure in office. If elected I would be constantly aware that the people of the district would be counting on me to accomplish that mission.
