- Keeping College Affordable
-
I support the recent reduction in community college fees from $13 to $12 a unit. I have opposed and will oppose further student fee increases without student approval. We can keep college affordable without increasing taxes.
- Keep Local Control Of Our Community Colleges
-
Some misguided individuals have proposed eliminating local control over our community colleges and giving the power to govern our local colleges to Sacramento bureaucrats. I will continue to fight this dangerous scheme.
- Keep Our Colleges Strong
-
I support our Chancellor Ed Hernandez in his sucessful effort to make Santa Ana & Santiago Canyon Colleges two of the nations finest community colleges. I will work to increase the use of computers and advanced technology. I will support the strong ties between our colleges, business and labor, which lead to good jobs for our students and a better community for all of us.
