Political Philosophy for Lisa R. King

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Rosedale Union School District

My goals for the District include:

• The establishment of rigorous grade-level standards that meet or exceed those of the State.

• The development of accurate assessment tools to measure student achievement with regards to these standards.

• The implementation of strategies to assist under-achieving students reach the appropriate grade level.

• The improvement of District/Staff relationships through improved communications and the use of Interest-Based Bargaining as a tool both for Contract negotiations and conflict resolution.

• To continue to finance and construct new school facilities as needed to keep up with the growth in our district.

• To continually improve relationships through better communication between the district, the schools, the parents, and the community.
