Position Papers
Taxation, the National Debt, and the Projected Federal Budget Surplus
All of the anticipated proceeds from the federal budget surplus should be applied towards eliminating the national debt. I oppose efforts by Republicans and Democrats to use the money to increase the size of government.
Social Security
I support efforts to provide individuals more choice and freedom in planning for retirement. Threfore, I support efforts to allow people to be able to opt out of Social Security and not be forced to pay the 7.5% payroll tax.
Campaign Finance Reform
I support campaign finance reform measures that increase participation in the American political system.
