Smart Voter Comes
to New York
Smart Voter welcomes New
York state and Westchester County, New York, to the list
of California
and Ohio
counties providing candidate information. This is the first
time New York voters can make the difficult job of deciding
among candidates seem like a breeze by using Smart Voter.
Audio and Video Coverage Grows
Smart Voter has made interviews and debates available for
statewide
candidates for several election cycles. Voter Minutes
on the state
propositions are a popular feature for this election.
Now, local Leagues are taking advantage of the opportunity
to stream debates or parts of them for their own local candidates.
The Berkeley League has posted links to videos of the two-minute
opening candidate statements for municipal offices including,
for example, that of Mayor.
LWV Los Angeles County has streamed interviews of judges vying
for Superior
Court.
Help America Vote Act
The Help America Vote Act is to be fully implemented in this
