Past AccomplishmentsBy J. Wayne JohnsonCandidate for Board Member; Broadmoor Police Protection District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Wayne was first elected in 1975 and has worked very hard to make the community fully aware of what was happening with the Broadmoor Police Department.Wayne has well and faithfully served this community since he was first elected to the Broadmoor Police Commission in 1975. Wayne has been a resident of Broadmoor Village since 1962 and the police services have always been of utmost concern. "I became alarmed in 1975 when I was told by the then Commissioners the Department must close due to budgetary reasons. I was instrumental in getting a group of citizens to travel to Sacramento to see our elected representatives and get a tax increase to continue our police services." Wayne was influential in obtaining liability insurance to re-open the Department in 1978, after the other two Commissioners closed down the Department and tried to have Daly City provide police services. Wayne has always been the go-between person between the community and the police department in order to communicate the community's concerns to the Department. Wayne worked closely with the developer where the current Department is located to obtain a new state-of-the-art police facility for an even property exchange with NO cost to the tax payer. When reelected, I shall continue to work to provide the best possible police services for the least amount of money, while not sacrificing quality. Vote for J. Wayne Johnson November 3, 2015 |
