Candidate for
Board Member; Ross Valley School District

My candidacy will be based on the principle of tirelessly working to promote and advance educational opportunities for all of the children and families involved in the Ross Valley schools. I will rely on my experience as a two-term trustee on the Dixie School Elementary School District Board for this purpose as well as my family's "stake" in ensuring that our seven-year old daughter at Hidden Valley (and every other child) has the best educational experience possible in our schools.

If elected, I will serve as a collaborator with all of the stakeholders in the District but will always focus on what is best for our children. I believe that this is primarily accomplished by ensuring that the District recruit and retain excellent educators and that these educators be given the best possible opportunity to develop, grow and thrive as professionals. There are obviously many other ingredients that make highly successful school districts but it has been my experience that the expertise and satisfaction of educators (working collaboratively with one another) is often the distinguishing factor between good and great districts. Based on the above, I will make it a priority that our educators have the necessary tools, training and support to make this a great place to teach and stay.
