Kirk Knauer is in his second term and currently Chair of Mill Valley's Parks and Recreation Commission. Kirk has also served on several committees advancing positive change in our city. As candidate and as your council member, his greatest motivation is to serve our community and strive for excellence in government.

Kirk and his family moved to Mill Valley in 1998. He and his wife Sylvia have three children who all grew up here and attended Park School, MVMS and Tam High.

Kirk worked over 20 years in education management leading numerous strategic marketing, business and product development initiatives and was responsible for $50 million in revenue and over 200 employees. On the flipside, and of-late, Kirk is contributing a significant amount of time and work leading consultant teams doing pro bono work for local non-profits.

Kirk's strong business, government and nonprofit experience provide him with the required balance, know-how, discipline and patience to work through details and complex issues, always considering the diversity of stakeholders.

Your Mill Valley is Kirk's Mill Valley. He and his family are grounded here and they have a deep interest and stake in preserving our city's heritage and being a steward of its future.
