Political Philosophy for Sarah Turner
Candidate for |
We need to have high expectations for all of our students. We also need to base our educational decisions on the most comprehensive research available. There are no quick fixes in education, but there are solid programs that have produced outstanding results over long periods of time. We need to invest in programs with proven track records to better serve our students. If elected I would work with the community to develop a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) that reflects the goals of the parents and the community. We need to analyze the academic results at all of our schools and use research based methods to improve our instruction. Every student is precious, and we need to create district wide policies that protect the future of each child. |
