I have prepared for the job of State Representative for over 40 years. I worked as a commercial banker for 20+ years; then as a financial consultant for 20+ years. I learned to take personal responsibility for my actions while in the US Navy from 1966-1972. I have held positions of trust in over 15 volunteer boards and committees. I accepted an appointment to the Clarion University Board of Trustees in 1997, served as its Chairman for 7 years, and retain membership in that body today. I married 39 years ago, raised 3 children, and now, occasionally, get to enjoy time with our 4 grandchildren. My job requires experience with, and general knowledge of, a great many issues. It requires the ability to consider others' points of view, and to compromise to get things done. It has been said that if all parties are somewhat unhappy with a deal, then it is probably a good deal for everybody.
