Gary Edwards is a Planning Commissioner, business owner, father and active member of our community.

For more than 15 years, Gary has continually served the residents of Sonoma through numerous Boards and Commissions at a non-profit, City and Regional level, including service and recognition with the following organizations:

  • Member, City of Sonoma Planning Commission
  • Member, Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission (SVCAC)
  • President and Board Director, Sonoma Valley Rotary Club
  • Board Director, Redwood Empire Food Bank
  • Founding Member, Citta Slow Sonoma
  • Founding Member, Sonoma Valley Slow Food Convivium
  • Member, California Organic Products Advisory Commission
  • Volunteer of the Year, Sonoma Community Center
  • Guardian of the Year, Willmar Family Grief and Healing Center

Gary's extensive community service involvement in Sonoma reflects his commitment to serve our residents and give back to the place we all call "home."

Gary lives in Sonoma with his wife, Ruth. Together, they have two children.
