Candidate for
Council Member; City of Escondido; District 1

Thank you for your interest in this important upcoming local election.

I am running for City Council District 1 because I love Escondido. I grew in this city ad have lived most of my life in what is now called District 1. I decided to campaign for this seat because my opponent has not been a strong leader for our part of town. He voted to close one of our precious library branches, approved controversial ordinances that have resulted in costly lawsuits, cut funding for recreation and public services, allowed developers to pay less fees to build in Escondido, while those discounts will cost us tax payers in the long run. Since no one else stepped up to challenge him, I knew it was time that I did. Escondido needs leadership that cares and listens to its residents.

I have been a volunteer in my community for almost 15 years and I am invested in this city where I plan to spend the rest of my life with my family. Escondido deserves better and I won't let you down. My goal is to unite our community, work together to improve our neighborhoods, and meet with our residents and businesses on a regular basis. Together, we can unleash Escondido's potential to be a greater city so that people want to live, work, play and shop here.
