Growing Academic Achievement

Carlsbad Unified is facing many complex educational reforms. I will continue fighting for the integrity of the district through these new challenges, such as new state standards, computer-based testing, and evolving curriculum. I will work hard ensuring Carlsbad's students and teachers get what they need to excel.

Balancing the Budget

Since joining the board in 2013, I've used my background in business management to make intelligent financial decisions that have helped to stabilize the budget. I voted to lower class sizes and save taxpayers over $1 million through refinancing Prop P bond debt. I believe in transparency and maximizing taxpayer dollars. I will continue to drive improved efficiency in the district.

Clean, Safe Schools

Every Carlsbad student deserves schools that are clean and safe. I am committed to maximizing the benefit from $35 million CUSD received in state-matching Prop P funds to improve school facilities.
